Gladden Coffeehouse
Welcome to Gladden Coffeehouse!
Our Coffeehouse events run every Wednesday evening, 7-8pm, from September to June.
Inclusion and accessibility are important in the village. We are aware many villagers have roles that are on a shift rota, others have caring responsibilities that may require their time in the evenings and others have demanding work-loads that make them unavailable at lunchtimes.
Coffeehouse Wednesdays are quite simply a wonderful way to escape, explore and e-socialise, from the comfort and convenience of your home.
What sort of events can you expect to experience and enjoy?
The programme is a mix of villager-led and visitor-led events:
- The villager events provide opportunities to share your reading recommendations through our regular book nights, share your little and large life stories and music of association through the Stylus Story Club and tell us about heritage that captures your imagination and interest via Unsung Heroes and Heroines sessions.
- The visitor events are where we invite heritage professionals and volunteers from across the UK and the globe, to the village, so we can share in the discovery of places, people, events, inventions and more. The programme for 2024 will include guests from Australia, Spain, Canada, Ireland and Sweden, to name a few.
